Segments are groups of attendees used strictly for internal purposes, such as in sending targeted announcements, personalizing name badges, or exporting attendee data.
They are similar to attendee categories in that sense. However, unlike categories, segments do not appear on attendee profiles and are generated automatically based on specific criteria, making them beneficial for simplifying internal attendee management.
