How are segments and subsegments generated?

Segments are automatically generated based on three sources:

1. Ticket add-ons
2. Responses to the segment default questions in the Attendee Question Form
3. Any custom questions created in the registration question form. 

Segments from Ticket Add-ons

A segment is created for each ticket add-on that you create. If the add-on includes options, subsegments are also generated to reflect each option.

For example, if you create a T-shirt add-on with size options: Small, Medium, and Large:

• A segment is created for all attendees who purchased a T-shirt.
• Subsegments are created for each size option, grouping attendees by their selected size.

Segments from built in Registration Questions

Segments are also generated based on attendee responses to the following default questions included in the Question Form: 

Question 1: Job function

Question 2: Industry

Question 3: Organization Size

Question 4: Dietary Restrictions

Question 5: Transportation Needs

Segments from Custom Registration Questions

Segments are automatically generated based on attendee responses to custom questions on the registration form.
